Pearl had invited her family from Ireland and Newcastle for a much-needed get-together and more importantly meet the new grandchildren. I was honoured to be chosen to photograph the family on their Bude holiday. I must admit the weather forecast was a bit touch and go, not that the photograph above taken a few hours before their arrival might suggest.
Staying in the heart of Bude I wanted to not only show them somewhere slightly off the tourist path but also somewhere to protect us from the strong easterly winds. Duckpool beach provided us with a beautiful backdrop for a stunning family photoshoot.
The dramatic cliffs, turquoise water and winding river, Duckpool delivered, provided us with a fantastic sheltered location with a variety of backdrops for our photoshoot.
