Polhawn Fort
Wow! Wow! Wow! Gemma and Sam lit up Polhawn Fort in December.
I could tell straight away this was going to be an epic day. The best man Richard greeted us on arrival with a warm smile while he was scribbling in his final words for his speech. We also met Sam (the groom) and a few of the other groomsmen on their way to Polhawn’s very own private beach! Gemma and the girls had a head start – I could hear friendly chat and laughter, I could see that hair and make up was underway and a champagne pop was heard in the background.
The guys were finishing up and usually there’s an opportunity to photograph the groomsmen helping the groom, however there was a bit of a role reversal here as Sam was the only one who could tie a Windsor knot! (For anyone who wants to learn here is a link 😉 how to tie a winsor knot)

Outside was torrential so we opted for the group photographs to be taken inside – luckily Polhawn Fort doesn’t disappoint when it comes to backdrops 🙂
After Kerra’s Catering had produced their feast, we had some very moving and equally hilarious speeches!
We had to nip outside to get at least one photograph on the stunning grounds of Polhawn Fort. It was wet, it was windy but Gemma and Sam embraced it and we got some stunning shots of the two of them.
Although the photograph looks quite calm, I can assure you the wind was up that evening 🤣 check out the before and after!
That left us with the first dance and AFTER PARTY!
